Latest offer rejected, back to the picket lines
At a members meeting today, so packed that people were leaning in through the windows to vote, members of UCU University of Leeds branch voted to reject the offer that came out of the ACAS-facilitated talks between UCU and Universities UK.
We fed this decision to our delegate at the national delegates meeting of the branches affected. Branches from across the country rejected the offer.
Informed by that delegate meeting, the union’s Higher Education Committee has rejected the offer.
The strikes continue.
We will defend our pension.
See you at the picket lines at 7.30am. (7am for earlier starters.)
