University of Leeds branch is hosting a hustings for the UCU General Secretary election, Friday 9 February 12:30pm – 2pm.

The Zoom event is for members of this branch and other UCU branches in the Yorkshire and the Humber region. (Contact your branch if you haven’t yet received the Zoom link.)

The five-yearly election for the post of UCU General Secretary will take place between 25th January and 1st March. This is an extremely important election and a hustings is our opportunity to ask each of the candidates about their vision for the future of UCU. All four candidates have confirmed attendance.

At the start of the hustings, each candidate will have time at the start to put forward their case and they will also each have time at the end to sum up. The rest of the meeting will be used for questions from members.
