Striking Insights – call for teach outs
Once again, during our forthcoming strike action, Leeds UCU will be running ‘teach outs’ to offer alternative knowledge to our students. These could be presentations, discussions, creative labs, guest speakers, performances or other activities, both in the Quaker Centre and around Leeds. We’re keen to have sessions on any of the topics of our disputes and related issues: pensions, pay, equality, gender, disability, migration, casualisation, workload, sustainability and more, but your topic can be anything you like! Proposals from all members are welcome: add your proposal to the shared spreadsheet at https://tinyurl.com/vn7ot7t by this Friday, 14th February, and we will pull them together into a programme next week.
We can usually provide a data projector and speakers, but if you’d like any other equipment, you need to be able to provide it yourself!
NB we’re really keen to give everyone who wants to a chance to run teach-out sessions, but we are limited for time-slots, so please don’t be offended if we can’t fit your session in. Priority will be given to people who offered papers and were left out in the last strike, and after that to ensuring a broad range of subjects and participants.
