A number of department rep posts were unfilled after the 30 June deadline so, to ensure we’re going into the new academic year with UCU reps in as many areas as possible, the UCU branch committee is reopening nominations for UCU department reps.  The new deadline for nominations 12pm midday Tuesday 15 September.

• Candidates who already have partial nominations in place before the 30 June deadline need only complete those partial nominations, not seek entirely new ones.
• Any nominations received or completed since the 30 June deadline will be included as a nomination in this period. (If you’re not sure how that applies to you, contact ucu@leeds.ac.uk.)
• Department reps elected on 30 June are unaffected by this – you are in post until May/June 2028.

Candidates need two be nominated by two colleagues (by email) and to state their willingness to be a candidate (by email) by the midday 15 September deadline.
