- Let your students know about the strike and the reasons for it. See what to say to students.
- Write to your MP
- Write to the Vice Chancellor (vice-chancellor@leeds.ac.uk and copy to ucu@leeds.ac.uk) You can express your own concerns and/or adapt our example letter
Helping prepare for the strike

- Talk to colleagues
- Arrange a meeting in your school or department
Offering a session at the ‘Striking Insights’ teach-out
UCU will be running a teach-out on strike days enabling students to enjoy just as high-quality education as usual (but not geared towards passing exams), using venues just off campus. All members are invited to suggest a session you’d like to run. Anything goes, as long as you can do it without special equipment, and it’s educational, inspirational, and fun! Sessions will mostly run from five past until five to the hour, 12:00 -14:00 on strike days.
To offer a session please fill in the details in on this spreadsheet, by 15th February if possible (though given the long strike period, we’ll probably keep updating a rolling programme).
